The following PC software packages will help you to run your business efficiently and professionally.

Microsoft Office – The Microsoft Office suite includes four of the most widely used business applications:

1. Word
2. Outlook
3. PowerPoint
4. Excel

Microsoft Word is the leading word processing software, and needs no introduction.

Microsoft Outlook is called a personal information manager or PIM. You can use Outlook to manage your e-mails, contacts, and calendar. Outlook can even append reminders to your e-mail messages that require follow up.

Use PowerPoint to create engaging employee or client presentations. Your presentations can include audio, video, and images for a multimedia experience.

With an influx of canned software for a myriad of accounting tasks, Excel is gradually losing its popularity for in-house accounting tasks. However, Excel continues to be invaluable for other tasks. As an example, you can export data to Excel from a number of applications for use as a data source (import) by other programs (e.g. as a data source in the Mail Merge process).
